Nora Kalniņa graduated from the Riga Dome Choir School where she studied choral conducting under Aivars Krastiņš. She later received a Bachelor of Music in Choral Conducting from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music under Andris Veismanis and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting under Romans Vanags. She has sung as a member of the chamber choir "Ave Sol," the youth choir "Kamēr...," and the State Choir "Latvija." As a conductor, she has worked with the women's choir "Vaiva" in Talsi, Latvia, as well as the mixed choir "Ridzene." Nora has worked as the Artistic Director of the Emīls Dārziņš Mixed Choir since the spring of 2015. Additionally, Nora has worked as a singer in the world-renowned vocal group "Latvian Voices."
